Civil War Re-enactment / Lackawanna, N.Y. (6/6/09 & 6/7/09)....Featuring Camp Dance with live music Saturday evening !
Saturday 6/6/09 - 10:00 - 5:00 / Dance Demo's at 1:00 & 4:00....Between dance demo's during the 10:00-5:00 time period, members will mingle / socialize with visitors.
Notes:
1. Members will be picnicing together for a mid-day lunch between demo responsibilities. Please bring period or period-like lunch baskets. Each member planning to lunch should bring a cloth napkin, silverware, ceramic plate and glass. Please avoid paper /plastic to maintain "period" appearance. Each member should bring their own drinks and desert. We will all "chip-in" and send a "runner" to a local sub-shop for sandwiches to be cut up into small portions. (There are several period picnic baskets to borrow if you'd like)
2. There will be a CAMP DANCE at 7:00 on Saturday 6/6/09 with live music being provided by Jim Kimball's Period Civil War Band. The Camp Dance will be held under a large tent with a cement floor. This should be great fun !!!...Good weather with 72 degree temps are expected. Bring a shawl for later in the evening.....During the Camp Dance Intermission, there will be a "live fire" canon / weapons demonstration.
3. After our 4:00 Saturday demonstration, members are free to leave the event to take supper and then return for the 7:00 Camp Dance.

LOCATION SPECIFICS:
VETERANS STADIUM (Formerly Ron Jawarski Stadium)....South Park Ave, Lackawanna, NY
DIRECTIONS: Take Thruway(West toward Erie), Exit 55 toward Orchard Park /Springville, See Ridge Road West ramp toward Lackawanna, Turn slight right onto Ridge Road, Turn left onto South Park at Our Lady of Victory Basilica. Continue on South Park a short distance.
